The Institute actively seeks and encourages diversity on campus and in the community. The Diversity Committee of the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology is open to students, staff and faculty interested in diversity. The committee was formed in 1995 to address issues of diversity, increase awareness and acceptance of diversity at ITP and sponsor events in the ITP community relating to diversity.

The committee has been instrumental in the formation of a Management/Diversity committee to advise ITP management and faculty in matters of policy. A Faculty Cultural Competence Committee was also created to support and advise faculty efforts to bring multicultural view-points into the classroom.

Mission Statement

The Student Diversity Committee's mission is to ensure that ITP is a place where diversity of (but not limited to) ethnic, sex, gender, culture, religion, spiritual path, physical ability, sexual and affectional preference, social status and political affiliation is welcome, honored and valued.
