Western Association of Schools and Colleges Accreditation

The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology is an accredited institution, and has gone through the accreditation process as laid down by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

The Commission is an institutional accreditation body, emphasizing academic quality and educational effectiveness. It accredits institutions rather than individual programs, including all institutional operations wherever located. In so doing, it reviews evidence of the institution’s capacity to achieve educational effectiveness—structures, processes, resources, procedures, and outcomes—as well as evidence of the academic quality of educational programs within the institution. Where an institution provides programs not commonly offered by accredited institutions of higher education, the institution bears the burden of demonstrating that the subject matter offered is appropriate to higher education, academic in quality and rigor, and can be reviewed by peers from accredited institutions.*

Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and CollegesThe long and intense process is revisited periodically, and ITP continues to be an institution that maintains the integrity and rigor required by WASC.
