Rosemarie Anderson, Ph.D. is Professor of Transpersonal Psychology in ITP's Global PhD Program. At ITP, she teaches courses in qualitative and quantitative research, human development, and the psychology of the body; develops research methods uniquely suited to the study of transpersonal and spiritual topics; conducts research; and supervises doctoral research. She also serves as the U.S. representative on the Board of the International Transpersonal Association transpersonalassociation.org. Throughout the year, she lectures worldwide on transpersonal topics, including intuition, intuitive inquiry, embodied writing, body insight and wellness, and the Body Insight Scale (BIS). Rosemarie brings a socially engaged and community service perspective to her professional activities.

Rosemarie Anderson is the author of Celtic Oracles: A New System for Spiritual Growth (Random House, 1998). She is co-author, with William Braud, of Transpersonal Research Methods for the Social Sciences: Honoring Human Experience (Sage Publications, 1998) and Transforming Self and Others Through Research: Transpersonal Research Methods and Skills for the Human Sciences and Humanities (SUNY Press, 2011). She has also co-authored Five Ways of Doing Qualitative Analysis: Phenomenological Psychology, Grounded Theory, Discourse Analysis, Narrative Research, and Intuitive Inquiry (Guilford Press, 2011) with Frederick Wertz, Kathy Charmaz, Linda McMullen, Ruthellen Josselson, and Emalinda McSpadden. Before joining the ITP Core Faculty in 1992, she taught in undergraduate and graduate programs at Wake Forest University, Graduate Theological Union, and the University of Maryland's Asian and European Programs. From 1983-87, she served as a university dean for the University of Maryland's European Division in Germany. In 1987, Rosemarie was ordained an Episcopal priest, served as a parish priest and university chaplain, and continues to serve her local community.
