Karen Erlichman is an Associate Core Faculty member in the MASG program, and a social worker who provides psychotherapy, counseling, supervision and spiritual direction for individuals, couples and groups. Her specialties include women's health and pregnancy issues, eating and body image issues, interfaith and multicultural couples work. Karen was formerly the Bay Area Director of Jewish Mosaic, which provided professional development and consultation for Bay Area Jewish and LGBT organizations and communities. She is on the board of the Coalition of Welcoming Congregations of the Bay area. Karen is a Clinical Specialist at University of California-San Francisco Medical Center in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. She received a certificate in Spiritual Guidance from Mercy Center, Burlingame, California. She has authored numerous articles in Presence: An International Journal of Spiritual Direction and also written extensively on the topics of feminism, LGBT issues, and Judaism.
