Susan Esterly

Susan Esterly is an Instructor and the Clinical Coordinator for MACP students at ITP. She is a Licensed Psychologist and maintains a private practice in Palo Alto specializing in working with teens, their parents and young adults. Susan loves teaching and has has taught undergraduate courses in psychology, research methods and substance abuse at both UCLA and Stanford.

She has conducted research on social climate, depression, agoraphobia, ADDH and addictions treatment. Susan particularly enjoys working with college and graduate students. She trained at UCLA's Student Counseling Services and spent several years doing freshman academic advising at Stanford. Susan has counseled inpatients and their loved ones at the Adolescent Substance Abuse Program in Los Angeles, Stanford's Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center and the Menlo Park VA Medical Center. Additionally, she has served as an expert panelist and publication contributor for the Adolescent Counseling Services here in Palo Alto. Susan volunteers for A Home Within, a nation non-profit organization that serves the needs of former and current foster children. Susan is an ENFJ, and if you're not quite sure what that means, you've come to the right place!
