Glenn is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. He is editor of the International Journal of Transpersonal Studies, and Secretary of the International Transpersonal Association. His areas of scholarly interest include transpersonal psychology, somatic psychology, consciousness studies, and phenomenology. Recent publications include an in-depth analysis of the definition of transpersonal psychology and how it has changed over time, as well as an innovative approach to research for transpersonal and somatic psychologies called quantitative somatic phenomenology.
Since 2000 Glenn has offered workshops in Attention Dynamics®, a body-based approach to rapidly and reliably achieving states of mindfulness as well as quiet, focused attention for mental concentration. He also has an integrative counseling practice, teaching embodiment techniques and incorporating healing work. Prior to his work in psychology, he had a successful career as a professional bodyworker. Glenn also spent more than 20 years in the field of Near-Eastern archaeology, participating in nine seasons of excavation and contributing numerous scholarly articles on the subject of Levantine pottery chronology in the Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic periods. For some time he also pursued a career in property and investment management.
