These programs emphasize professional training and personal transformation through disciplined inquiry into six core areas: intellectual, spiritual, physical, emotional, community and creative expression.
A graduate education in transpersonal psychology at ITP focuses on obtaining knowledge of transpersonal theory and the embodiment of transpersonal experiences in one's life. Both the Ph.D. Curriculum and the Master's Curriculum encourage the balanced development of intellect, spirit, body, emotions, and creativity within oneself and in the context of one's community. Students in the Transpersonal Psychology Ph.D. Program and the Evening Master's Programs may choose to focus their studies with a Specialization in Creative Expression, Spiritual Guidance, or Research and Education. This option is not available for students enrolled in the Transpersonal Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program.
Acceptance into either the Residential Ph.D. or M.A. Programs with Advanced Standing status is possible for applicants who have completed an appropriate ITP program. Those with graduate-level studies from another institution may transfer and/or waive equivalent ITP classes. Please contact the Admissions Office for details: askinnerjones@itp.edu.
