Global Online Single Courses
Single Courses are offered through the Global Programs at ITP for personal development, professional training, as prerequisites in our own programs, and as transferable coursework into other Graduate School programs. Students may enroll in no more than one single course without undergoing formal admission to the Global Programs. Courses may be taken for credit and on a non-credit basis. Up to date single course costs for credit and non-credit are listed on the Single Course Registration Form, below. This form also lists the single courses available.

Distance Learning, Module-Based Courses:
Online Classes
As a single course student, you will be using the Angel Learning Management System (LMS) for your online course. This online environment provides discussions, whiteboard, community groups, an online journal, integrated email, virtual office hours, desktop sharing, chat and instant messaging, podcasting, wikis, and blogs. Students are responsible for their own schedule. They login at their own convenience to the online virtual class. Students will post some papers online. Along with online conferencing, (where you do not need to be online at the same time as others), live chat sessions will also be available on our virtual campus. The student does not have to be highly skilled in telecommunications to join an online course. Navigating in our online conferences is easy and enjoyable.
Faculty Mentors
You will also be assigned a Faculty Mentor who has specialized knowledge in your chosen courses' subject matter. You will work closely with this mentor who will guide you through your course. Mentors are uniquely qualified to facilitate transpersonal learning, personal processes and encourage creativity, spiritual practice, and authentic response to assignments. Mentors have advanced degrees in transpersonal psychology or related areas and understand the nuances of experiential, whole person learning. Mentors not only facilitate instruction, but will also help you to integrate transpersonal experiences and practices into your personal and professional life.
Your mentor will use a module to facilitate the course. All of our modules have been authored by experts who value the integration of spirit, body and mind and who appreciate diverse perspectives and diverse ways of learning. Each course module includes goals, assignments, reading requirements, creative choices, and often media. Modules are available online, require approximately fifteen to twenty hours of study per week, and are to be completed in six weeks.
Other Class Resources
There are usually outside textbooks required which must be purchased separately by the student, some of which are available at our bookstore page. The student communicates with the Mentor in the online classroom or via email or telephone. Students may start a course on the dates listed on the Single Course Registration Form allowing at least two weeks for processing the registration form. The refund policy for single courses is listed in the ITP catalog.
To take a single course at ITP, students will need a computer capable of using the newest versions of a modern internet browser (such as Firefox 5, etc.), and software compatible with Microsoft Office products: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. They will also need a dedicated email account and a working printer. Having these resources will streamline communication with your mentor, which is important to complete the course within the six week limit of the class.
If you are taking this course for credit, please include proof of a BA, BS or equivalency. ESL students must also submit a TOEFL score.
To enroll in a course, you must fill out the Single Course Registration Form. If you have any questions or need assistance in enrolling in a course, you may contact the Program Services Office at program_services@itp.edu.
