FAQ - Global Program

How many hours of study are necessary each week in the Global program?

It depends on your own pace. All courses are three units, and each class requires approximately 8 to 10 hours of study per week. You will have six weeks to complete each course.

Are Global students eligible for financial aid?

Yes, subsidized and unsubsidized government loans, student employment, and scholarships are available.

Does the Global Program lead to licensure?

The Global programs are not designed for licensure. They are designed for academic study and enhanced self-awareness. Additionally, the Global M.A. offers professional applications, and the Global Ph.D. educates students in the scholarly arts. Our Low-Residency M.A. in Counseling Psychology, which can be done without relocating, and the Residential Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology provide the academic requirements and professional training for licensure. Also, some students study in a Global program and complete their clinical course work at a local school.

In the Global program, how is it decided who my mentor will be?

Upon receipt of your Acceptance Form and Enrollment Fee for the Global Program, a mentor will be selected for you who is best matched with your personal goals, life experiences, and where you are on your spiritual path.

How may I use the Global Certificate or MTP programs as a stepping stone to a higher degree program?

Participation in the Global Certificate program would provide you with a general overview and basic foundation in the theories, techniques, and application of transpersonal psychology. Upon completion of the Certificate program, one may apply for Advanced Standing into the Global MTP program. Upon completion of the Master's program, one may apply for Advanced Standing into the Residential or Global Ph.D program.

Is it true that the Certificate Program is the first year of the Master's Program?

Yes. Upon completion of the Certificate year, a student may apply for advanced standing in the global MTP program.
