Admissions
Your entry into a unique educational experience begins here. The Institute seeks students who have already developed a strong sense of their own capabilities and who are prepared to make a commitment to their intellectual, spiritual and emotional growth. We offer our dynamic whole-person graduate education in both on-campus (Residential) and distance learning (Global) formats.
We know how outstanding our programs and educational community are, and we’d like you to know them too! Here’s what you are invited to do:
Call or Email Admissions: This is usually a prospective student’s first contact with ITP. We in admissions will help you clarify which of our programs fit best with your career goals, answer your specific questions regarding curricula and the application process, and put you in contact with anyone else who might be of assistance.
Visit the Campus: If you let us know when you will be in the San Francisco or San Jose area, we will set aside a time to meet with you, answer all of your questions, and give you a tour of our building. Most visitors comment on how welcoming and comfortable our educational community feels to them.
Sit in on a Class: Perhaps during your visit, you would like to see for yourself what is so special about our school. Visiting a class will allow you to get a sense of our teaching style, interact with students, and talk with faculty.
Chat with a Student: Can’t visit? We can put you in contact with a student with whom you have a common interest (program, special interest, geography). Our students are enthusiastic about sharing their experiences and like to offer their words of wisdom regarding student life at ITP.
Connect with Faculty: Most questions about our programs can be answered right here in Admissions. However, if you have questions regarding program details and/or research interests, we will be glad to connect you with the appropriate program chair or faculty.
We’d like to hear from you
