ITP Scholarships

The Institute awards a limited number of need based scholarships. Funds for this scholarship are appropriated annually by the Board of Trustees as part of the annual operating budget. The scholarship program is intended as a bridge to assist needy students in managing tuition increases. It has never been intended as a primary source of funding.

Eligibility
Any student enrolled in an Institute program may apply for an Institute scholarship. The awards for the scholarship are need based, with secondary consideration given to diversifying the student body and to students demonstrating high potential to advance the field of transpersonal psychology.

Application
Students wishing to apply for an Institute Scholarship should submit a completed scholarship application by the published deadline. Application materials include:

Institute Application Form
Cover Letter and Essay
Student Aid Report
Consult the Financial Aid Office for the most current application procedures.

Awarding Aid
A Scholarship Committee made up of Institute personnel convenes after the application deadline to award the available funds. All scholarships for the coming year are awarded at one time. Students will be notified of the committee's decision in writing approximately one month after the application deadline.

Receipt of Aid
Scholarships are awarded as tuition reduction in three equal installments in the fall, winter and spring. No cash award will be made. In the event of a shortage of qualified applicants, all available funds may not be awarded.

Criteria used in selecting scholarship recipients will be (in order of weight):

Financial Need
Contribution to Student Body Diversity
Potential Contribution to the field of Transpersonal Psychology
Individual scholarship awards may range in size from $500 to $1,500. Each application will be considered on an individual basis by the scholarship committee.

To apply for the ITP Scholarship, complete the FAFSA and the Institute Scholarship Application. The Scholarship Application is available following the announcement of tuition rates for the coming year.

Diversity Scholarship
ITP has created the Diversity Scholarship for students from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds who are determined to make a difference with underserved populations of the world.

Center for Divine Feminine Scholarship

The Center for the Divine Feminine at ITP is offering 2008-2009 tuition scholarships in the range of $2000-5000 to residential and global Master’s level and Ph.D. students at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. Scholarships are awarded based on a study’s emphasis on its connection to the Divine Feminine, the Divine Masculine, and/or a balance between the two; the project’s contribution to the field of transpersonal psychology and the Divine Feminine; or Feminist studies that includes some element of the sacred in them.
