There are a variety of other scholarships available to ITP students, from the Institute itself, programs within the Institute, and from external sources. Most scholarship applications are due in spring of each year.


President's Diversity Scholarship
This scholarship is for this scholarship is for new incoming and continuing students of economic need and/or culturally diverse backgrounds.

Amount: 25% tuition reduction for one year
Deadline: March 1st (priority admissions deadline)           
Eligibility: New students who have been accepted into an Institute program and continuing students may qualify for the President’s Scholarship. The awards are need-based with an emphasis on diversifying the student body.   An award may be granted in additional years upon reapplication for the President’s Scholarship by the March 1st priority deadline.   Awards are limited to students enrolled full-time in an Institute Program.

Residential Ph.D. African-American Scholarship
An anonymous donor felt that African American students in the third year of the residential doctoral program needed extra financial support to make it through the program, and so donated the money to fund this scholarship in 2002.

Amount: $1,000 per quarter, $3,000 maximum
Deadline:Spring 2012
Eligibility: Self-identified African-Americans enrolled full-time as 3rd year Residential Ph.D. students.

Tom Potterfield Doctoral Diversity Scholarship
The Tom Potterfield Diversity Scholarship Fund keeps alive the memory of Tom, ITP's beloved president, while helping promising students from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds attend ITP.

Amount: Up to $5,000 per year
Deadline:March 15, 2012
Eligibility: Doctoral program acceptance, a 2-year commitment to utilizing your ITP education to make a difference in your community, and demonstrated financial need.

James Fadiman Dissertation Support Fund
This scholarship was established by donors who wish to honor James Fadiman’s contributions to ITP and its students. 

Amount: Up to $2,500, maximum two applications
Deadline: Open
Eligibility: Pragmatic research with potential practical outcomes, studies that create or validate a new way of working, a new way to do therapy, coaching, teaching or training, dissertations that break out of the medical model for therapy rather than perpetuate it; or dissertations on altered states of consciousness, especially those involved with entheogens (psychedelics).

Larissa Keet Memorial Scholarship Fund
Donations from family, friends and donors have created this scholarship to preserve the memory of Larissa Keet.

Amount: $1,000 to $1,500
Deadline: Spring 2012
Eligibility: Demonstrated present commitment to serving organizations dedicated to social justice, peace, women’s rights and/or environmental causes. Not necessarily need based.

ITP/EUROTAS Scholarship
The ITP/EUROTAS scholarship is for members of the European Transpersonal Association (EUROTAS), in celebration of a long and historic relationship.

Amount: 25% of tuition for the life of their degree program
Deadline: Spring 2012
Eligibility: Applicants must apply for and be accepted into an ITP degree program, reside outside of the United States, and be a current member of EUROTAS.

John Dulaney Scholarship Fund
The Rabbi David Zeller Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to keep alive the memory David Zeller and to provide financial support to current ITP doctoral students in the dissertation phase.

Amount: The amount of scholarships will be determined each year by the Scholarship Committee, depending on available funding.
Deadline: June 1st, 2012
Eligibility: Must be a current student enrolled in one of the residential doctoral programs, show financial need, and maintain academic excellence.

Rabbi David Zeller Memorial Scholarship Fund
John Dulaney was a student in the Residential Doctoral Program. Gifts for this fund were from family, friends and cohort members. The Rabbi David Zeller Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to keep alive the memory David Zeller and to provide financial support to current ITP doctoral students in the dissertation phase.

Amount: The amount of scholarships will be determined each year by the Scholarship Committee, depending on available funding.
Deadline: June 1st, 2012
Eligibility: Must be a current student enrolled in one of the residential doctoral programs doing dissertation research related to transpersonal perspectives on peace and conflict resolution (must have an approved proposal), show financial need, and maintain academic excellence.
