Larissa Keet Memorial Scholarship Fund

Anticipated Source of Funding and Amount:
Donations from family, friends and donors interested in preserving the memory of Larissa Keet, and in providing scholarship funding to ITP students.
- Scholarships in the amount of $1,000-$1,500
Purpose of Fund:
The Larissa Keet Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to keep alive the memory of ITP alumna, Larissa Keet, and to provide financial support to current ITP students who demonstrate commitment to the causes to which Larissa dedicated her life.
Eligibility:
In selecting scholarship recipients the following criteria will be considered:
- Scholarly excellence and demonstrated present commitment to serving organizations dedicated to social justice, peace, women's rights and/or environmental causes. A list of organizations served including capacity (staff, volunteer, etc.), supervisor/contact name and phone number. Applicant must have a track record of social action.
- A short paper explaining how the applicant intends to use his or her education and degree from ITP to advance one or more of the causes championed by Larissa and listed above. The scholarship committee will consider the papers in determining the scholarship awards. Applicants agree that the content of their papers can be used for advertising and promotional purposes.
- Not necessarily need based.
- Good academic standing.
It is recommended that students repay the amount back to the scholarship fund upon completion of their degree, but repayment is not mandatory.

- Student's who do not qualify for FAFSA, please submit income verification.
Application Instructions:
Applications must be made on official forms that can be obtained from the Financial Aid Office or on Angel (financial aid scholarships). To be considered for this scholarship, all applicants must complete both the application for this scholarship AND the Free Application for Federal Student Financial Aid (FAFSA). No applicant is to be given preferential information or treatment by members of the Board of Trustees or the staff of ITP. All applicants will receive the same information about the scholarship and how to fill out the application.
Larissa Keet Memorial Scholarship Fund Application
Application Deadline:
All application materials must be received by the Financial Aid Office no later than June 1. This is a firm deadline. Incomplete applications and applications received after this date will not be considered for scholarship aid.
Selection Process:
- Applicants are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee
- All criteria requirements are reviewed
- Applications are prioritized and awarded amounts based on meeting those requirements
Disbursement of Awards:
All applications for scholarship aid will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. Applicants will be notified in writing of the Financial Aid Committee's decisions no later than July 1.
All scholarship awards are in the form of tuition reduction applied directly to student accounts in three equal installments in Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters. Students must be enrolled at least half-time to receive the award. No cash awards will be made under any circumstances.
Number and Amount of Scholarships:
The amount of scholarships will be determined each year by the Scholar ship Committee, depending on available funding.
Application Files:
Once submitted, applications become the property of ITP. They will be kept on file for one year after the application deadline date. After this time they will be destroyed. Their contents and the Selection Committee's ratings are confidential and will not be released to anyone, including applicants.
