Advanced Standing
Many students come to ITP with substantial accomplishments already under their belts, such as an earned Master's degree in psychology or a closely related field with a significant amount of graduate level course work in psychology. At ITP we recognize and value your accomplishments and hard work. Such applicants can apply to one of our Ph.D. programs and work toward realizing their educational dreams in just three years.
Here's how it works:
Applicants may apply for advanced standing into the Global On-line Ph.D. if they have completed a qualifying Master's degree in psychology, social work, divinity or a related field with a strong emphasis or specialization in psychology.
Global Ph.D. students enrolling with advanced standing will begin this 5-year program in Year 3. These students get meaningful credit for their previous accomplishments, and shorten their educational process significantly.
Please note: The Residential Ph.D. is a 3-year program that requires a qualifying master's degree in psychology, social work, divinity or a related field with a strong emphasis or specialization in psychology.
