Alicia's Vision:
To establish an organization in New York City using dance therapy as the core of programs for professional development and counseling with urban African American adolescent, adult, and aging women.
Alicia came to the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology to continue her life-long devotion to scholarly activism. As a student in the Residential Clinincal Ph.D. Program, Alicia plans to refine her skills in service to women of all ages. After graduation, she plans to expand her work by establishing an organization that offers professional development, training, supervision, workshops, group counseling, and individual counseling. In partnership with other community organizations such as domestic violence shelters, safe houses, schools and universities, clinics, wellness centers, and spiritual institutions, Alicia envisions being able to address a wide range of women-related issues in support of her community.
