ITP Professor Writes Festschrift Chapter for Colleague in India

ITP Professor William Braud has written a Festschrift chapter for recently published book in honor of a colleague in India. The Festschrift (volume of celebratory writings) is in honor of Koneru Ramakrishna Rao, and it is entitled, New Frontiers of Human Science (McFarland, 2002).

Dr. Rao is an educator, scholar, psychologist, and researcher in areas of parapsychology and consciousness studies. He has been vice-chancellor of Andhra University, Advisor on Higher Education to the government of the state of Andhra Pradesh, India, and Cabinet minister of the Andhra Pradesh State Planning Board.

The book, containing essays by Dr. Rao's colleagues, students, and proteges, was edited by Professor V. Gowri Rammohan in honor of Dr. Rao's 70th birthday. Dr. Braud's chapter is on "Psi-Favorable Conditions," and it summarizes research findings on the various physical, physiological, psychological, and transpersonal conditions and factors to appear to facilitate and inhibit paranormal functioning.
