Congratulations to all 2003 Graduates!
On Saturday, June 14, ITP had its annual graduation ceremony at the beautiful Unity Palo Alto Community Church.
After an inspiring invocation by doctoral student Annette Hathaway, ITP Board Chair Jerre Sears welcomed the 500 plus audience. Co-Presidents Pat Luce and Robert Schmitt reflected on ITP progress. Their remarks were followed by the Faculty Introduction by Paul Roy, Dean of the Residential Programs, and Kartik Patel, Dean of the Global Program, and the commencement address given by Professor Rosemarie Anderson. Professors Robert Frager, Robert Morgan, Jill Mellick and Henry Poon awarded master's degrees and certificates.
The Master's Response for the Global Program was made by Victoria Panagotacos. The M.A. Response for the Residential Evening program was given by Tuala Pearce-Zuazua, followed by an interlude of African drumming by Afia Walking Tree. Then Dean Paul Roy and faculty awarded Doctorate of Philosophy Degrees, while Genie Palmer and Arthur Hastings read summaries of students dissertations and the Chairs of their dissertation committees hooded the graduates. Closing remarks were given by Global Dean Kartik Patel, followed by a Refreshment buffet in the courtyard.
