ILL Request Form
(ITP Students Only Please - Students from other schools should go through their own library ILL department. Thanks.)

If you are staff in the ILL department at another school, please see our ILL Policy Page.

The Basics

Individual requests are only accepted from students, staff, and faculty affiliated with ITP. If you are not affiliated with ITP your request must go through your local library.

The ITP Library has arrangements with many other schools and libraries that allow us to borrow books and obtain journal articles that we do not have in our own collection. Usually, your requests for articles and books can be filled within a few days, or a week. However, it is best not to wait until the last minute. Some items are more difficult to get. Most books can be borrowed for up to three weeks. In some cases this may be extended, but not always.

An article may cost $3 to $5 per article, depending on the source. We try to obtain articles
for free, but if we have to pay for the copy we will charge you $3 to $5 per article. Books
borrowed from other libraries cost $3 to $5 each.

Dissertations and theses can be expensive and difficult to obtain, often costing $15 and $20, when they can be obtained. You will be charged the full amount we have to pay. Dissertations and theses from 1997 on (and often even earlier) are available for free download from ProQuest Dissertations and Theses database. ITP students should ask Lucy or Linda for detailed information.

Okay, so you know what you need and we don't have it - what next? If your citation is in a database in CSA or EBSCOHost use the Interlibrary Loan link on each database record. You can also submit an ILL request form online. The link (ILL Request Form) is at the top of this page.
