Career Resource Center
Our mission is to promote the success and prosperity of our students and alumni by facilitating your personal and professional growth and development, and by assisting you in bringing your own special gifts to the world with purpose, confidence and joy.
On average, individuals in the USA will experience between three to seven major career transitions during the course of their work-life. While we cannot promise to “place” our alumni in jobs, our services and expertise can make the transitions easier.

ITP also supports our students through the talented services of our Specialization Coordinators. Please feel welcome to utilize their expertise to your advantage.
Clinical Coordinator
The Institute assists students in finding clinical practicum and internship sites that fulfill ITP's program requirements as well as prepare the student to apply for MFT or psychologist licensure in the state of California. Through the Clinical Coordinator, students receive personal consultation, periodic workshops, practicum and internship position listings, and information regarding professional licensure.
Creative Expression Coordinator
Because the creative expression program allows for flexibility and self-design, the creative expression coordinator is available to help students plan their individual program, from selecting electives, to designing independent study and brainstorming special projects. The creative expression coordinator can also help students plan presentations for the Friday night expressive arts events, plan pieces for the annual art show, or answer any questions about the creative expression program.
Spiritual Guidance Coordinator
The Spiritual Guidance Coordinator works with the ITP Spiritual Guidance Director and the Spiritual Guidance Council to develop and maintain the ITP Spiritual Guidance specialization. The Coordinator is available to consult with students regarding this specialization and the field of spiritual guidance. The Coordinator also acts as a representative of the Spiritual Guidance specialization to the ITP community, organizes special program events, provides presentations, and maintains a list of internship field sites.
Teaching, Education, and Research (TERs) Coordinator
The TERs Coordinator works with the ITP TERs Director to develop and maintain the ITP Teaching, Education, and Research specialization. The Coordinator is available to consult with students regarding this specialization and the fields relating to working in academia. Through the coordinator students receive personal consultation, assistance in garnering teaching and research practicum information, and support toward completing all the requirements toward completing the specialization upon graduation.
Events
The Career Resource Center sponsors workshops and panel discussions for students and alumni to gain clarity regarding their career path.
Building Community
The Career Resource Center is committed to building relationships with the surrounding community. We are in the process of introducing ITP to the people who are likely to employ our graduates. If you have suggestions about organizations that would profit from getting to know ITP, please let us know
Future Services
As the Career Resource Center grows, we plan to offer additional services.
We are currently in the process of:
- Investigating options for career counseling
- Developing a Career Advisor Network. The Career Advisor Network will be a listing of ITP alumni available to students and graduates using our services. Members of our network will be able to give first-hand information about their career experiences.
